It's Senior Spotlight time! During spring semester, we highlight some of our incredibly accomplished seniors. Will (they/them) is a theatre major from Brooklyn, New York. Their thesis is about the history of Frankenstein in the theatre and how these adaptations have changed both the way we think about the story and the way we think about adapting work. In order to investigate this topic, Will is directing a Frankenstein-inspired production of the play “Blue Heart” by Caryl Churchill. They chose Churchill’s play because they had previously directed a scene of hers in a theatre class at Reed and fallen in love with her style. Will’s thesis adviser is Associate Professor of Theatre Kate Duffly, and her classes in performance and performance studies have been instrumental in the development of Will’s project.
