One of the most stunning natural spaces in Portland is located just a few steps from campus. Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden is across the street from Reed and free for students who bring their ID. Open year-round, the garden is filled with rhododendrons and azaleas and serves as a refuge for over 90 species of birds. It borders Crystal Springs Lake and boasts two waterfalls and many beautiful walkways.
