On Thursday nights, the only lights on the quad come from our fire-dancing troupe, Weapons of Mass Distraction. Cassius Comfort, a sophomore member, explains why he’s kept at it for almost two years: “It’s both the thrill of the performance and the security and comfort of being around people that you feel safe with... there’s no embarrassment when you drop [a prop] but there are cheers as soon as you pull something off. It’s low risk, high reward.”
