When a 3,500lb beluga whale became stranded in the Alaskan mudflats, a group of 8 brave bystanders were miraculously nearby in their kayaks and immediately jumped into action. Mateo Niclas first spotted the white whale's body stuck in the mud and knew he had to attempt to rescue it. Working together with quick thinking and teamwork, the crew was able to safely guide the massive whale back into the ocean without causing it harm. Watch this incredible moment of compassion that helped save the whale's life. 🚨 Important note: If you see a stranded whale, dolphin, or porpoise, please do not move them back into the water. This can be dangerous for both people and the animal. Instead, call your local Marine Mammal Stranding Response Network, so trained responders can help: fisheries.noaa.gov/report More info here: fisheries.noaa.gov/marine-life-distress/do-not-move-stranded-whales-dolphins-or-porpoises -------------------------------------------------------- G...
