What do you ❤️ about Shabbat at TY?? For many it's the memories of a Shabbat meal in the Chadar Ochel and the people who helped create them, like Moshe Lieberman.
Moshe was the chef in Machane Bet from 1970 thru the mid-1980s and a role model for the dozens of kitchen staff who worked alongside him over the years. Born in Hungary and a survivor of the Holocaust, Moshe made aliyah to Israel after the war and eventually moved to New York, where he learned to cook, became a chef at Yeshiva University and, lucky for us, spent his summers at TY with his wife, Nechama.
