#AlumniAchievement: Joel Alvarado ’95, MPA, Vice President for Strategy and Engagement at the Partnership for Southern Equity, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Latin American Association (LAA)— one of the Southeast’s leading nonprofits serving Latino communities.⁠ ⁠ For over 50 years, the LAA has empowered Georgia’s Latino population through immigration services, adult education, workforce development, and small business support. Alvarado’s appointment comes as the organization continues to expand its footprint across the state.⁠ ⁠ A proud Afro-Latino and first-generation college graduate, Alvarado was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY.
