lesson 16 of 30 ↣ how do you make 𝒇𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒔 as an adult (in your 20s)? 🥺 this is *literally* what I did when I moved to the San Francisco bay area knowing absolutely nobody. At first, I couldn’t afford to live in the city. I started in Daly City, then Mountain View, Sunnyvale, then back to Mountain View, and finally San Francisco (in Japantown). making friends was so ridiculously hard in the bay. It felt like all the Berkeley kids already knew each other. that was such a hard bubble to break into as an outsider. I also worked in South Bay, which made weekday hangouts super hard. it didn’t help that I was making less than 6 figures for the majority of my 20s. it was really tough to afford going out for dinners or drinks.
