Meet Andrea Visnjevac, a fourth-year honors biochemistry student at the U of A researching chronic viral hepatitis. In the Meier-Stephenson Virology Lab, she works with Dr. Vanessa Meier-Stephenson to study the structure of hepatitis D viral proteins and how they interact with human cells and other hepatitis viruses. As both a student researcher and U of A ambassador, Andrea is making an impact through virology research and community engagement.
