Saturday could be a VERY interesting weather day in the San Joaquin Valley… THUNDERSTORMS are possible! Hard to imagine after the blazing heat we endured on Friday, which was one of our hottest days of the year. A big surge of moisture from the Desert Southwest will bring storms to the Sierra Nevada on Saturday… but we knew that already. Now it’s looking like there will be enough energy to bring those thunderstorms into the Valley as well! Tulare and Kern counties have the best chance, but don’t sleep on the chance of storms in Fresno & Madera counties by the afternoon… and possibly Kings County Saturday night. We’ll get back to our regularly scheduled heatwave with sunshine and scorching hot temperatures on Sunday.
