Gender critical group S3x Matters has filed a High Court claim against the City of London Corporation, which operates Hampstead Heath’s swimming ponds. In a 23 August post to its website, the group wrote: "S3x Matters has filed its claim to the High Court seeking permission for a judicial review of the decision to continue to operate the men’s and women’s swimming ponds on Hampstead Heath on the basis of gender self-identification." Following the Supreme Court ruling in April 2025, the City of London Corporation doubled down in its support for the trans community – putting up signs at the Kenwood Ladies’ Pond that read: “Those who identify as women are welcome to swim at the Kenwood Ladies’ Pond.
