A transgender National Park ranger has claimed they were fired for flying a Trans Pride flag on El Capitan in Yosemite National Park. Shannon Joslin, a biologist, posted to Instagram on Monday 19 August to share the news: 'Last week I was fired from my dream job as a permanent park ranger with the NPS for practicing my First Amendment right.' 'In May I hung a trans flag on El Capitan that celebrated my acceptance of my identity. I hung the flag in my free time, off-duty, as a private citizen.
