“Canada’s Drag Race” alum Gia Metric—out of drag, Giorgio Triberio—has won silver in artistic swimming at the World Aquatics Masters Championships in Singapore. Triberio only began training in the sport last year, marking his first time participating in athletics since his high-school volleyball days. After winning his first competition in Canada in April, Triberio qualified for the World Masters men’s solo free, ran a GoFundMe to help cover travel costs, and came home with a silver medal. Triberio took to Instagram to celebrate the achievement, writing “From the bottom of my heart, thank you to the Artistic Swimming community for welcoming me with open arms and supporting me with so much love.
