12 years ago today, I married my best friend. Though we’ve known each other for 24 years, this day will always hold a special place in my heart. I had dreamed of saying “I do” in my parents’ backyard, but with a short engagement, we shifted plans, and peacefuloaksbnb instantly felt like home. Its beautiful grounds reminded me so much of my parents’ yard, and it became the perfect setting for our day. It was hot, it was joyful, and it was filled with so much love.
