HOPE: NA HONG-JIN UNVEILS STAR-STUDDED CAST FOR HIS HIGHLY ANTICIPATED RETURN
Korean auteur Na Hong-jin, known for the acclaimed 2016 thriller The Wailing, returns after nearly a decade with Hope—a film already generating intense global interest. Set for release in the summer of 2026, Hope is set in the eerie stillness of a remote village near Korea’s Demilitarized Zone, where a mysterious sighting of a tiger by local youths ignites a spiralling series of events.
What truly elevates anticipation is its extraordinary ensemble cast, blending Korean cinema royalty with international heavyweights. Leading the Korean cast are Hwang Jung-min, Jo In-sung, and Jung Ho-yeon, each bringing remarkable screen presence and emotional depth. Joining them are Hollywood powerhouses Michael Fassbender (X-Men, 12 Years a Slave), Alicia Vikander (The Danish Girl, Tomb Raider), rising star Taylor Russell, and Mindhunter’s Cameron Britton.
