We honor Women's Equality Day, commemorating the ratification of the 19th Amendment in 1920 that granted women the right to vote. In sports, we've witnessed incredible female athletes break barriers and champion equality. From Billie Jean King's historic "Battle of the Sexes" victory in 1973 that helped secure equal prize money in tennis, to Megan Rapinoe and the USWNT's successful fight for equal pay, to Kathrine Switzer becoming the first woman to officially run the Boston Marathon in 1967 - these trailblazers used their platforms to create lasting change. The fight for equality continues today. As we celebrate the progress made, we must also acknowledge the work still ahead. Every athlete, coach, and sports leader has the power to advocate for equity and create opportunities for the next generation. How will you use your voice to champion equality in sports and beyond? Join us in building a more equitable future for all athletes. #RISEtoWin #WomensEqualityDay #EqualityInSports...
