It’s with great excitement that I announce my commitment to the University of Portland! I am so enthusiastic to pursue and enhance my long distance running career further with UP and I can’t wait to be a Pilot next year! It honestly just blows my mind that I’ve gotten to this point after only starting running my freshman year. If you told me in 8th grade I would be going to a prestigious Division 1 school on a full ride I would have laughed and said that my passion was soccer. It’s going to be sad leaving my wrestling career behind me but I still have my Senior Year to just leave it all on the mat. I can’t express how grateful I am for my family and friends for supporting me throughout this journey. Thank you Tim West and Katherine West for being the best parents I could have asked for and always being a face I could look out to and depend on when I stepped onto the start line.
