#SothebysOutofOffice takes us deep into the English countryside, where Sotheby’s specialist proustman explores a landmark of the Arts & Crafts movement: Rodmarton Manor.
Not far from Kelmscott Manor, the Cotswolds home of William Morris, Ernest Barnsley designed a residence that embodies the movement’s principles: meticulous craftsmanship and the honest use of raw materials. In a rare and holistic approach, Barnsley also imagined the gardens as a series of distinct spaces, each enclosed and articulated by living walls of greenery.
