Our Home Depot training session. In this session, I focused on helping Tux with some real-world training skills inside homedepot . One of his biggest challenges is settling in public as he tends to pop up and follow me every time I move. I worked on him staying calm and holding his position while I walked around him, which took a lot of patience and practice! I also introduced a new challenge: the flatbed cart. At first, Tux wasn’t a fan of the wobbling and clinking noises, but with some encouragement and repetition, he gained confidence jumping on and off. To round it out, I worked on leash walking basics: stopping at the end of aisles, waiting patiently to see who was coming around the corner, and practicing good manners in a busy environment. Tux loves attention and tends to want to interact with everyone.
