Each year, we track the helmet models each player wears during fall camp. Players have multiple helmet models to wear during the game. The Auburn football team is wearing six different helmet models, with one clearly being the preferred style. Even with the SpeedFlex remaining the number one selection, the Axiom has seen increased usage over the last two years. No one helmet model is safer than another. It really comes down to what helmet fits the player's head the best. The safest helmet is the best-fitting helmet. (Note: this year, we were able to track 77 players, with 36 unaccounted for. In 2023, we spotted 99 players with 22 missing.
