Meet Baylee DeSmit, '25, an Elementary Education major within Loyola_Education who split her time between the classroom and the soccer field as a midfielder on LoyolaWSoc! On the LoyolaHounds women’s soccer team, Baylee was named PatriotLeague Offensive Player of the Year in 2023 and 2024, among other honors, and finishing in the top 10 nationally in goals per game in 2024. "Playing four years on a team means every year is a chance to get better and improve, and you get four years of meeting people who will become lifelong friends. Soccer has impacted my future by teaching me life lessons and having the mentality to take one day at a time and make the most out of it."
