The Miners win! ⛏️ Sussex County edged the Québec Capitales, 3-2, in the first of three games at Stade Canac. The Miners’ magic number for a playoff berth is now one. Miner of the Game Sean Roby Jr. hit his team-leading 16th home run and broke a 2-2 tie in the seventh inning. His 85th RBI proved to be the game-winner. The third baseman went 3-for-5 with a run scored and an RBI. Roby Jr. is hitting .321 on the season. Shortstop Will Zimmerman and first baseman Abdel Guadalupe each collected two hits. Catcher Keenan O’Brien drove in a run with his second triple of the season. The Sussex County pitching was outstanding. Billy Parsons (W, 9-4, 3.53 ERA) earned his team-leading ninth win, allowing two runs on six hits in his six innings of work. Parsons walked three and fanned five.
