I had the chance to visit silver_spring_foods and see how they make their horseradish. I’ve been working with Silver Spring for a few months now, making recipes with their Beer’n Brat horseradish mustard. When I found out that they are only a few hours away from me, I asked if I could visit the farm. And they said yes! This is a family-owned business/farm that’s been in their family for 4 generations! It was so cool to see everything. They even let me plant some horseradish 😂 . But the best part was trying fresh horseradish. It had some heat but wasn’t as strong as I was expecting it to be. Besides horseradish, they also make different mustards, which are delicious. Everyone there is very passionate about what they do, and it shows in all their products.
