Anticipate each arpeggio with a chromatic enclosure to the root. - Before starting each arpeggio, use a chromatic enclosure pattern that targets the root note of the chord. This simple approach instantly makes your lines sound more jazzy and bebop-oriented. By combining arpeggios (to outline harmony) and chromatic enclosures (to add tension and release), you unlock one of the most fundamental bebop sounds.
