Year 5 of Black Music City and the energy was everything  ⚡️ Our 2025 grantees showcased their Black Music City grant projects to the public at REC Studios on Friday, August 15th - showcasing the incredible work they’ve been building. From emerging artists to seasoned veterans, each showcase reminded us why this program exists.  For five years, we’ve awarded more than half a million dollars in grants to over 100 Black creators in our region. But the real impact? Moments like these when our community takes the stage and shows the world what Philadelphia’s Black music legacy looks like.  Huge love to our partners wxpnfm and wrtimusic for making this vision a reality year after year.
