The Garnet Fire roared to life on Wednesday, and its smoke plume and associated pyrocumulus cloud were easily visible from the San Joaquin Valley. It’s burning in eastern Fresno County, adjacent to the Kings River, between the Grant Grove of giant sequoias and Shaver Lake. Smoke from the fire should drift down Kings Canyon overnight, and it could be a little hazy/smoky near Sanger, Reedley, Clovis, & Fresno the next few mornings. #california #fresno #video #garnetfire
