❗️The YangWang U9 has shattered the electric vehicle top speed record, proving China’s hypercar ambitions are real. The U9 Track Edition hit 293.54 mph (472.41 km/h) at Germany’s ATP Papenburg test track. It surpassed the Rimac Nevera’s 268 mph and the Aspark Owl’s 272 mph, and even outpaced the Koenigsegg Agera RS at 277 mph. Power comes from a quad-motor setup producing nearly 3,000 horsepower on BYD’s e⁴ platform. A 1,200-volt architecture and advanced cooling systems allowed sustained extreme speeds. The DiSus-X suspension actively controlled each wheel, boosting grip and stability. Aerodynamic tweaks like a carbon splitter and wing delete reduced drag for the record run.
