#NUSoC students are doing it real big this summer...or in Ian C.'s case, real miniature! Ian was awarded a 2025 Alumnae Undergraduate Research Grant from the Alumnae’s Centennial Endowment for Undergraduate Research, established in 2016 to commemorate the organization’s 100th anniversary. His project is called “Isolating Grief by Combining Live Action Film with Diorama,” and #RTVF Prof. Eric Patrick is his sponsor for the Summer. "My research is looking into the cinematic process of compositing live action actors within handmade miniature dioramas," said the rising senior from Essex County, MA, and it has a large influence on his project. "This research will culminate in a short film, in which the combination of live action and diorama serves as a representation of grief compartmentalization."
