On Friday, August 22nd, Hamline University announced Jake Bobrowski as the next head coach for the Pipers’ women’s ice hockey program.
Bobrowski, a native of St. Paul, MN, is no stranger to the program as he began his collegiate coaching career at Hamline in 2015-2016 as an assistant coach. He’d spend six seasons with the Pipers helping them accumulate an 88-41-14 record through the 2020-2021 season.
During that six-season period, the Pipers would advance to the
#NCAA Women’s Frozen Four twice, reaching the National Championship in 2019. Bobrowski coached six All-Americans during his time, including the 2019
#AHCA National Player of the Year in 2019.
Bobrowski would shift to Division I in 2021-2022, becoming an assistant coach with Minnesota. He’d take the reigns at Elmira College in 2022-2023 before going pro. One season with
#PWHL Minnesota as an assistant coach, Bobrowski would become a Walter Cup Champion in his lone season in 2023-2024.
