It's official: Governor Ferguson signed Senate Bill 5632 into law, which means our state just increased protections for bodily autonomy! This updated law — called the Shield Law — will ensure patients seeking medical care in our state and their helpers continue to be protected from out-of-state investigations and punishment. Thanks to all of the supporters, advocates, and lawmakers who championed this bill, and to Gov. Ferguson for signing it into law.
