Marvel Super Hero Island is a themed land at Universal Orlando’s Islands of Adventure in Orlando, Florida, dedicated to some of Marvel Comics’ most popular superheroes. Opening in 1999—ten years before Disney acquired Marvel Entertainment in 2009—the island features bold, comic-inspired architecture with vivid colors, exaggerated angles, and larger-than-life cutouts of iconic characters.
