#WesternMustangs varsity student-athletes partnered with the Boys & Girls Club of London to run a basketball 🏀 clinic on campus this summer.
Imran Michael Armstrong, a 4th year Western Mustangs Men’s Basketball student-athlete studying Biology & Psychology at Western, volunteered his time to help out.
“I wanted to get involved because I love helping younger kids develop their skills and seeing them want to get better. My role is to translate my knowledge and experience to the kids and help them grow their love for the game.” Armstrong said. “I think it's so important what Mo and BGC is doing because it gives kids an opportunity to learn the intricacies of the sport at a young age. It helps kids learn valuable life skills as well such as teamwork, leadership, hard work, determination, and resiliency”.
Maurice “Mo” Bolden, former London Lightening player, currently coordinates the basketball area of the Boys & Girls Club of London Next Level Sports program.
