Data from the July 2025 BART Police Department report indicates a significant drop in violent and property crimes at BART stations systemwide since the beginning of 2025. Violent crimes, which include homicides, rape, robbery and aggravated assults, fell by about 36% from January to July 2025 when compared with data from the seven months in 2024. Property crimes, which include burglary, larceny, auto theft and arson, also dropped by about 50%.
