For the experienced UC Berkeley student, the word “tabling” has become an integral part of their campus lexicon. However, navigating clubs and groups, as simple as it sounds, proves uniquely chaotic and challenging for the uninitiated. As part of the quintessential UC Berkeley experience, many new freshmen and transfer students must parse the seemingly endless stream of booths and live-hawkers on Sproul Plaza and beyond to find a community they may eventually embody. Some students, such as freshman marine science student Joanna Amaro, have already identified groups they want to investigate.
