Money felt like taboo in my family โ€” itโ€™s shameful to flaunt, spend, or mention it. I took that into adulthood and avoided any money talks. Unfortunately, this was not uncommon amongst my female friends. My guy friends, however, always talked about it, and I habitually shut down whenever that happened. It really took years of baby steps to improve my financial understanding topic by topic. There isnโ€™t much tactical advice in this video because personal finances is a humongous area.
