Money felt like taboo in my family — it’s shameful to flaunt, spend, or mention it. I took that into adulthood and avoided any money talks. Unfortunately, this was not uncommon amongst my female friends. My guy friends, however, always talked about it, and I habitually shut down whenever that happened. It really took years of baby steps to improve my financial understanding topic by topic. There isn’t much tactical advice in this video because personal finances is a humongous area.
