When Kevin Smith originally released “Dogma,” the film received 400,000 pieces of hate mail and he received death threats over its perceived blasphemy.
“What’s embarrassing about the movie is how reverent it is. The kid who wrote that movie and directed it believed in everything that’s in that movie,” thatkevinsmith told The Times.
Ahead of a wide release for the 25th anniversary, Smith took the film to 20 cities. This time, the worst he faced was a protester with a sign who shunned him in Dallas.
