Amyl and The Sniffers, Reading Festival 2025 REVIEW: “I hope your serotonin is holding up,” Amy Taylor beams, looking out over the thousands spending their last day of this year’s festival with Amyl And The Sniffers. “But there’s no excuse not to get rowdy,” she adds with a wink, before tearing into a thrashing ‘Tiny Bikini’, and it’s hard to argue with her. Because when the band get in their groove, it is absolutely impossible not to lose a few inhibitions. To translate such raw animalistic punk rock, the sort designed for bars and swearbox venues, to the vast surroundings of a festival’s main stage is no mean feat, but the quartet make it look effortless, the bleary-eyed romance of ‘Security’ and gritty refrains of ‘Guided By Angels’ feeling wholly intimate in such a gargantuan space.
