In a rollercoaster Monday night game, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers faced a tough defeat against the Baltimore Ravens, ending with a score of 41-31 at Raymond James Stadium.
Baker Mayfield had a solid outing, throwing for 335 yards and two touchdowns, keeping the Bucs competitive early on. Additionally, Mike Evans achieved a milestone by scoring his 100th career receiving touchdown early in the first quarter.
However, the defense struggled to contain Lamar Jackson and the Ravens’ offense, allowing plays that shifted momentum in the second half.
Adding to the challenges, the Bucs dealt with injuries to key players, with Evans leaving the game due to a hamstring strain, that would sideline him for a few weeks, and Chris Godwin, likely out for the season, with a knee injury that requires surgery.
The Buccaneers next game is this Sunday, Oct. 27 at home for another round against the Atlanta Falcons just three weeks after their first matchup in Georgia.
