A mega move in a classic rivalry, On This Day 25 years ago. 🔀 After an unbothered run to pole position and a rolling start, championship leader Mika Häkkinen led the early stages of a drying Belgian Grand Prix - until unlucky lap 13, when he touched a damp kerb at Stavelot and spun at high speed, losing ten seconds AND the lead to rival Michael Schumacher. 😣 The German opened up a huge lead with a lighter fuel load, but come the pit stops, Häkkinen ran longer and thus had fresher tyres to attack - and attack he did! 💪 Ironically caught out on the wrong strategy by Häkkinen's spin and resigned to the fact that the McLaren was simply better in the dry, Schumacher could only watch his mirrors as Häkkinen loomed ever larger behind, eliminating a six second gap in ten laps. 😲 A robust block on lap 40 only delayed the inevitable and gave us arguably the move of the decade on lap 41 - as Schumacher slipstreamed Ricardo Zonta's BAR on the Kemmel Straight, Häkkinen slipsteamed them both a...
