Oscar Nuñez is set to reprise his role as Oscar Martinez, the iconic gay character from “The Office,” in Peacock’s upcoming spinoff series “The Paper.” The new show, set in a small-town Ohio newspaper office, will see Martinez back on screen after more than a decade since the original series ended.
Speaking to Variety, Nuñez admitted he was “a little nervous when we first started,” unsure of how the series and its characters would come together. His nerves were calmed after seeing the attention to detail on set, praising co-star Domhnall Gleeson, who plays new boss Ned Sampson: “He’s a very thoughtful young man. He really cared about his character and asked a lot of questions. I thought that was very cool.”
