Standing inside the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque felt like more than sightseeing. It felt like connecting to a part of my family’s story. My dad grew up Muslim, and over half my family still is, so even though I don’t practice Islam, experiencing this sacred place firsthand was deeply moving.
