The recovery of endangered Mexican gray wolves hangs in the balance, largely due to a lack of genetic diversity. Yet on behalf of the livestock industry, the U.S. Department of Agriculture recently shot and killed a 3-month-old wolf pup in New Mexico. In April the agency executed the mom of the Bear Canyon pack in Arizona, even though she was probably pregnant. Soon her genetically valuable son, in the prime of life, will also be gunned down unless Interior Secretary Doug Burgum grants him a reprieve. You can help.
