My only unsolicited advice to expecting parents: MEAL PREP! 🥓🥘🍳
Not having the spend the energy on making a meal postpartum was SO NICE. You’re sleep deprived, learning how to care for a new baby, everything has changed and the last thing you need to worry about is dinner! Fuel is so important for new mothers and I cannot recommend meal prepping enough.
Meals we prepped:
Chicken noodle soup
Red lentil soup
Beef Chili
Braised short rib stew
Lasagna
Bone Broth
Homemade English muffins
Having a hearty warm meal is so good for mom postpartum. I’d highly recommend reading “The First Forty Days” for more information pertaining to the benefits of keeping a postpartum mother’s body fueled and warm!
