Bunion Recovery: Part 4 👣 Started with some bunions - now we’re here! 🎉 I planned to share this update back in July when my doctor gave me the all-clear, but I’ve been wrestling with how my feet have healed. I knew this journey would challenge me physically, but I didn’t anticipate how tough it was also gonna be mentally and emotionally. Despite my worries (still) about what I could have done differently, the healing period is officially OVER! Now, I can only accept that I’ve done my best and be grateful for every step 🦶 Ending this with some reminders to self (that I’m still learning to accept): 1. Surgery won’t magically fix everything (sigh.. a girl can wish). You still have to put in a lot of hard work - toe mobility & gait training - to get your feet where they should be 🥵 2. Everyone’s anatomy is different, so your results may vary. I learned that my 2nd, 3rd, and 4th metatarsal bones lean in so my big toes were probably never going to be stick straight. 3.
