It doesn’t take much for me to sweat, especially living in a place like Hong Kong (a brief walk down the road will have me glistening), but for the longest time it was a major cause for embarrassment. Over time, I learned to embrace my sweatiness and wear it like a badge of honor to remind myself of what I’m capable of. And if anyone has anything to say about it, they’ll be getting sweaty forced hugs from me. 💦
Being sweaty isn’t a bad thing. In fact, it’s amazing. It means you’re working hard, and your body is keeping you from overheating. Sweat also increases blood flow, which helps boost your strength and recover faster, while keeping your skin protected by acting as a barrier to keep you hydrated and prevent bacteria. Apparently they say the fitter you are, the faster you’ll sweat - I’m not sure if it’s scientifically proven to be true, but I’ll take it! 🙋🏻♀️
