You need to hook the audience.
If you don’t capture their attention quickly they will move on.
So What’s a VISUAL HOOK? 🪝
A visual hook is a striking or captivating element that is used to immediately grab the viewer’s attention.
HERES SOME EXAMPLES ↓
Movement - any type of movement whether it’s dancing, sliding in to the frame, moving something around, walking, apply lipgloss, drinking a coffee etc. movement always catches our eye and makes us want to figure out what’s going on.
Jump cuts/Zooms - in the editing process you can add a slow zoom or a jump cut to the beginning of the video. I do this a lot at the beginning of my videos, sometimes it’s subtle, sometimes not so much.
Multitasking - if you are doing two things at once. Cooking while talking, walking while talking, drawing, walking while working, opening a package etc. there’s so many ways to do this and this is why GRWM makeup tutorials are so fun to watch!
