#PreservationMonth Feature: Since 1859, Central High School in Omaha has stood proudly on its hill, welcoming generations of students in pursuit of excellence. As enrollment grew, so did the need for more space. Commissioned by the Central High School Foundation, we designed a new addition built into the hillside – connecting seamlessly with the historic structure. The new wing brings together the school’s library, arts, music, and student support programs, while honoring its architectural character. This story is one of many that shows how preservation and progress can go hand in hand. Follow along as we continue to share more examples of how #design breathes new life into historic places.
