At Vail Mountain, our building automation system allows us to better control how we heat and cool buildings more efficiently. We’re not just investing in renewable energy– our company has also committed $25M dollars to achieve at least 15 percent energy efficiency savings by 2030. At the Eagle Vail F&B warehouse, and at Eagle’s Nest, systems detect when the outside ambient air is cool enough—shutting down the refrigeration system and pumping the cool outside air directly into the walk-ins, significantly reducing energy use.
