This month, The Trevor Project is proud to release our 50 State Report, providing an in-depth analysis of suicide risk amongst LGBTQ+ young people in all 50 states, D.C, and Puerto Rico. With a state-by-state deep dive into the experiences of over 18,000 LGBTQ+ young people, our 50 State Report is an important resource for increasing understanding, humanity, and dignity when discussing suicide risk, access to care, state policies, and anti-LGBTQ+ stigma. At a time when debate about LGBTQ+ identity is prevalent in state legislatures nationwide, our research breaks down the lived experiences of queer and trans youth in their own words. Our 50 State Report maps these realities in a digestible way to equip folks on the ground with data necessary to end the public health crisis facing LGBTQ+ young people.
