This building grew Columbus art for nearly 100 years ➡️ It was built in 1929 as The Columbus Art School Building, then became known as Beaton Hall (after namesake Ralph Beaton, who donated nearly half the cost of the building’s construction). The building features many elements, including a staircase and a doorway, that came from a mansion that was demolished to build the Columbus Museum of Art and the Columbus Art School. The art school became CCAD, who used the building until the year 2000. Now, the building serves as administrative offices for the Columbus Museum of Art.
