How are you travelling to the CNE this year? #OTD in 1962, Shirley Blatchford and Margaret Hinterseer left Niagara-on-the-Lake in the morning and arrived at the CNE grounds later that afternoon... they drove across Lake Ontario. Piloting a new amphicar, the only amphibious passenger automobile ever to be mass produced, the 32-mile trip from Niagara-on-the-lake was made in just over six hours. 1.
